Michael Tait, Plot 19 founder currently lives in Flixton, Manchester with his three children and long term partner Sandy. He became interested in wine over twenty years ago and this interest now led him to progress into producing his own wine in the heart of the North-West. He now has future plans to produce a Mancunian cider and start specializing in local and regional product.
"Plot 19 Vineyard was planted five years ago. We have had three vineyards so far. The wine is getting better each year as I gain more experience and the vintages are also becoming bigger each year as the vines mature. There are 95 vines with a fifty-fifty split of white and red grapes. The vineyard was set up as an experiment to see if I could grow grapes in our North West climate and we have no problem growing them."
